If you can’t join us in Keene for the 5K in August, be a virtual runner! You can run or walk wherever and whenever you want. Don't like to run or walk? No problem! This is at heart a fundraiser. Simply purchasing a tee shirt supports the cause! I've also included some fun ideas below on how to "finish" the virtual 5K.

WHERE: Everywhere!

WHY: This is a fundraiser. The majority of your "entry fee" will benefit the Northeast Spinal Cord Injury Fund in Honor of David Hudgik.

COST: $18.00 - I'll send you the tee shirt of your choice, a race bib with your unique race number, and an entry code good for one entry into my HHL Virtual 5K Giveaway. You can add a medal for an additional $5.00.

PRIZES: Prizes will be listed here and on the HHL 5K Facebook page as they are donated by sponsors. Prize winners will be randomly selcted in a drawing on August 1, 2015.

Here's How It Works
"Register" for the Virtual 5K any time before August 1st, 2015. I'll send you the tee shirt of your choice, a race bib with your unique race number, and an entry code good for one entry into my HHL Virtual 5K Giveaway.

Want some bling? You can also add a medal to your race package for a $5 fee.

You can choose to walk, bike, run, skip or swim 3.1 miles. You can complete your race on a treadmill, a stroll in the park, or at another local racing event. It's up to you.

You can challenge yourself physically, or you can complete your race in a less demanding manner. Why not pin on your race bib number and walk the dog? Proudly wear your race number to work one day. It's for a good cause!

Post Your Photo
You can earn 5 additional Giveaway entries by posting a picture to the HHL 5K Facebook page. Posting a photo is how you "finish" the race.

You can include a message and/or your actual finishing time with your photo. Let everyone know what you did to "finish" your 5K. You must include your bib number in the photo, or in your message, so that I know who to send the additional Giveaway entry code to.

Be creative and have fun with your photo. Fake race photos also count as "finishing." Throw on some running shorts, pin on your race bib number, head to the supermarket and have a friend snap a picture of you racing through the aisles. Or set up a fake aid station on your street and have your friends pretend to be volunteers handing out cake as you run by.

This is the first year I've hosted a virtual race, and I'm excited to see what happens. Your photos will motivate others to help! Please share this page with your friends and encourage them to run virtually!

Hold your own mini 5K. Get some friends together and order race packages for everyone. Make sure you order at least one medal so that you can present the winner of your race with an award. Then compete with your friends at the gym on treadmills, your local track, etc.
